A Coruña claims once again its position as a city of culture and hosts a new exhibition, never seen before in Spain. This time, the Barrié Foundation presents Polaroid Project: At the intersection of art and technology.
Visitors to the exhibition (which is free entry) will be able to admire 300 pieces including graphic material made with the full range of Polaroid paper and films. All these elements cover an artistic production ranging from the 1940s to the present day and every aspect that made this phenomenon possible.
As for the artists who star in it you will find key names in the history of contemporary art, such as Ansel Adams, André Kertész, Sandi Fellman, Peter Beard, Dennis Hopper, George Silk, Richard Hamilton, Bill Eppridge, Shelby Lee Adams, Fazal Sheikh, Chuck Close, Philippe Halsman, Guy Bourdin, William Wegman, Edward Steichen, Andy Warhol and Robert Mapplethorpe.
Polaroid Project is curated by William Ewing; Barbara Hitchcock; Deborah G. Douglas; Rebekka Reuter and Gary Van Zante of the Foundation for the Exhibition of Photography and the MIT Museum. It can be visited until July 9 in the building of the Barrié Foundation in the Canton Grande of A Coruña.
The opening hours for this exhibition are from Monday to Sunday, from 11:00 a.m. to 02:00 p.m. and from 05:00 p.m. to 08:00 p.m.
