The SICTED Quality and Distinctions Committee of the Secretary of State for Tourism approves the first distinctions for tourist services in the destination of A Coruña
A Coruña launches the first SICTED tourism quality seals. A total of 14 establishments in the city have obtained this distinction. The Committee of Quality and Distinctions SICTED (Integral System of Spanish Tourist Quality in Destinations), of the Secretary of State for Tourism, communicated yesterday in a meeting held in Madrid the approval and processing of the distinctions for these establishments and tourist services after successfully passing the distinction committee and the relevant quality evaluations. This is the first time that A Coruña has been presented for this distinction.
The establishments and companies that have achieved the SICTED seal are: Rubine.net, A Coruña Convention Bureau, Hotel Riazor, Global Azaga, Eclectic, Mega Mundo Estrella Galicia, Pencil&Fork, EXPOCoruña, Torre de Hércules, Centro de Interpretación y Atención al Visitante-Oficina de Turismo, Viajes Embajador, Turismo de A Coruña, Palexco and Hotel Attica21 Coruña.
The SICTED seal was launched eight months ago for Destination A Coruña by the City Council, through the city's Tourism and Congress Consortium. The A Coruña Tourism Quality Board was constituted and met for the first time in May in A Coruña and proposed the first tourist services in the city to obtain the seal.
A total of 47 establishments and companies have joined this process, since its inception, to achieve the SICTED distinction; 14 have just achieved it and the rest continue with training for future evaluations.
SICTED is a project to improve the quality of tourist destinations promoted by the Secretary of State for Tourism (SETUR), with the support of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), which works with Tourism Services from 36 different trades, with the aim of improving the experience and satisfaction of tourists. Turismo de A Coruña joined as a SICTED destination on 22 November 2022.
