Several silos and an industrial unit were recovered for the MOP Centre to transform them into a culturally accessible space for the city, being the relationship between A Coruña and the sea the grand protagonist.

The MOP centre of the foundation is located at the port zone of A Coruña and has been designed by the A Coruña architect Elsa Urquijo.

Helmut Newton - Fact & Fiction follows the lead of the showings dedicated to Peter Lindbergh (2021) and Steven Meisel (2022).

As such, the public will be able to enjoy and experience first-hand the art of Helmut Hewton who, throughout the six decades of his career, came to be considered one of the most important photographers of the world.

The selection of photographs that's part of the exhibition includes its iconic "big nudes" and the unforgettable portraits of exceptional personalities such as Andy Warhol, David Bowie, Margaret Thatcher, Charlotte Rampling, Elsa Peretti, Daryl Hannah, Jerry Hall, Naomi Campbell, Yves Saint Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld.

Serving as the counterpoint to his renowned images, the exhibition includes examples of "less known" landscapes and discovers the personal side of the artist through a series of videos and personal images and other documents such as posters, camaras and software, accessories, curious objects and mementos.

Helmut Newton: Fact&Fiction can be visited with a free entry at the Battery Dock of A Coruña until May 1st.
