It is a park surrounded by the urban fabric and inside it is the Casa de las Ciencias, one of A Coruña's museums. It houses more than 70 botanical species from different continents.

Romeria de Santa Margarita the last weekend in August
No fixed timetable. Open while the sun is up, which means that closing time varies according to the season. Even so, some of the gates are open 24 hours a day.
It is located on a central hill overlooking the whole city and is the largest park in A Coruña. At its highest point (61 m above sea level) is the Casa de las Ciencias. On the east side is the Palacio de la Ópera, with access from the Glorieta de América.
Facilities include a children's playground, an open-air amphitheatre and benches and tables for snacks and meals.
The Romería de Santa Margarita is held on the last weekend of August.
