In view of the need to implement a roadmap for the tourism policy of the city of A Coruña, in December 2016 the team responsible for drawing up the Strategic Tourism Plan, in collaboration with the A Coruña Tourist Board and with the city's tourism sector, started working to achieve a document that would reach a consensus and define the tourism strategy for A Coruña for the period 2017 - 2020.
