The Municipal Archive holds documents from the past of our city that explain our present and guide us to the future. The use of new technologies and the application of international rules of document description means it is now possible to take an active part in the 21st century. The City Council of A Coruña is the owner of an exceptional municipal archive and keeps its undertaking to publish and conserve the documental heritage it has inherited.
The Municipal Atrchive covers a surface area of 598 m2 in the Salvador de Madariaga Cultural Centre. It is split up into the following areas:
